Quality Engineer

What this position is about – Purpose:

You will be mainly responsible for coordinating all quality activities in MP lines assigned to him/her in order to meet set quality targets (KPIs and other internal targets). Manage continuous improvement activities within the associated production lines.

The position will be reporting to Quality Control & Improvement Manager.

What will you do - Responsibilities: 

• Follow up quality performance of assigned M&P Lines. Initiate and realize necessary actions for achievement of Quality KPI's. Prepare daily and monthly reports for quality KPIs and publish and organize weekly quality improvement meetings with Production
•  Ensure daily quality activities in assigned machines (QUIP, standard measurements, prototypes, material trials, IICI), provide necessary reporting and/or documentation, coordinate implementation of quality improvement activities within associated production lines in coordination with given directions by superior
•  Analyse consumer complaints, link QUIP's and consumer complaints to develop corrective actions in order to eliminate repetitive customer complaints
• Prepare and deliver Quality awareness / refreshment / start up training to shopfloor
• Be the point of contact for new machinery acceptance at QM for the assigned M&P lines
• Participate and lead assigned safety, production performance, NTM and tobacco yield and quality improvement projects                  
• Coordinate IICI (Insect infestation control and improvement) activities within assigned M&P lines. Perform audit after each planned beetle cleaning and ensure deployment of findings to relevant machinery

Who are we looking for - Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of Quality experience
• Advanced level of English knowledge
• Advanced level of MS Office applications knowledge
•  IWS or Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
