We are looking for a “Chemical Engineer” to join GAMA Energy ICAN CCGT.

Responsibilities

• ·        Creating and implementing protocol for system analysis of water treatment plant, condensate, boiler water, water-steam quality, and wastewater system related water.
• ·        To report to the Plant Manager on the results of the analysis related to the water treatment plant, condensate, boiler water, water-steam quality, and wastewater system.
• ·        To create the results of the analysis of the water treatment plant, condensate, boiler water, water-steam quality and wastewater system and to report to the Business Manager. This is to monitor when there are any deviations and controls the quality of water and steam to remain within the parameters.
• ·        Water and steam quality within the parameters that provide information about the results of water / steam analysis to advise on process adjustments to protect and communicate with the operating team setup.
• ·        Water treatment plant that provides continuous monitoring of water and steam condition parameters, condensate, closely monitoring the line instrumentation for boiler water, steam, and wastewater systems.
• ·        Environmental, Health and Safety and Quality control in the laboratory to ensure that it is valid and current conducting risk assessments and create procedures, and corrective and preventive efforts.
• ·        Purchasing laboratory chemicals and consumables to keep sufficient stock.
• ·        To carry out stock checks in the laboratory to ensure the timely entry of stockpiled chemicals into the stock and to minimize waste.
• ·        To provide support to the operating team when necessary, regarding chemical controls and water and steam quality.
• ·        All technical references of plant chemistry and water treatment and equipment, printed documents, diagrams and recording preventive/predictive maintenance activities.
• ·        Complies with the requirements of Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental and Energy Management systems in all activities and it complies with the relevant instructions.
• ·        Especially events related to the field in which he works (near-miss, accident, etc.), reports nonconformities, dangers, risks, and opportunities to interested parties.
• ·        Provides the expected participation and opinion of the management systems by the superiors.
• ·        Works collaboratively to achieve the intended outputs of management systems.
• ·        Fulfills the duties and responsibilities given within the scope of management systems within the power plant.
• ·        To use occupational safety equipment in accordance with the instructions in accordance with the work and to comply with the safety rules.
• ·        Contributes to energy saving by using resources in the most efficient way in line with the Energy Efficiency Policy.
• ·        Operates in accordance with the principles related to energy efficiency defined in the Energy Management System.
• ·        Applies the tasks and measures given within the emergency action plan in emergency situations.
• ·        In accordance with the instructions, it works in a way that does not put itself and those around it at further risk, considering OHS-related precautions.
• ·        According to the instructions, the waste generated during the work processes should be deposited separately and in the appropriate place makes.
• ·        Complies with and supports the policies, instructions and rules related to the ISO 27001 Information Security Management System.

Qualifications

• Chemical or Environmental Engineering graduate
• Worked as a Chemical Engineer in related fields and having at least 5 years of experience
• Experience of implementation of protocols for laboratory control, analysis, and stock control
• Ability to establish laboratory functions and monitor and analyze EHS requirements in the laboratory
• Knowledge of Turkish law and regulations in the field of health, safety, and environmental management
• Knowledge of control measures for the management of facility wastewater
