We are looking for a full-timeTechnical Application Manager MEA to join the BU Industrial & Consumer Specialties department. (Ataşehir/İstanbul)

Purpose of Job:This role supports sales activities of the business segment Crop Solutions in Middle East Africa (MEA);

• by promoting all specialties to customers and market offering UVP and technical solutions
• by developing products and technical solutions and promoting them to the market
• by expanding the CLN Know-how in the Crop field and taking over product responsibility
• by performing formulation development and running projects in the regional application laboratory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Function 1: Sales and Technical Support                                           

• Support sales activities with technical customer visits focusing on customer and market needs           
• Gain market intelligence within the region MEA                                         
• Train customers, distributors and Clariant sales force                                             
• Respond effectively and timely to technical support issues                                     

 Essential Function 2: Development of Products and Technical Solutions         

• Transform market needs into relevant projects and run trials in the application laboratory                   
• Create new technologies or formulations that will address these needs                    
• Contribute to development and implementation of technology-/patent- and innovation strategies
• Lead respective project teams for successful implementation and support with own laboratory trials

Essential Function 3: Product Responsibility and Application Know-how

• Be the Technical Product Manager (PVT) for several regional and global products               
• Expand Know-how with new applications tests, methodologies, technologies
• Cooperate with and coordinate other functions eg.QA, Production, Product Stewardship for problem solving
• Effectively and timely respond to complaint processes (QNS)                                                           

 Essential Function 4: Communication

• Exchange information and align within the region (e.g. BL Sales Manager, MKT and other regional TA Managers)
• Transfer knowledge from/to other Regions and GAD/GIT and other Functions within the region           
• Represent Clariant in external working groups (when applicable)
• Create monthly reporting and visit reports

Essential Function 5: Responsibility for Application Laboratory

• Perform own formulation development in the crop application laboratory in Turkey
• Expand application intelligence in area of responsibility                
• Manage and maintain the laboratory and the technical equipment in Turkey
• Conduct daily laboratory works
• Ensure high safety level in laboratory                                                       

REQUIREMENTS                                                                      

• MSc or BSc degree in Chemistry                       
• Min 5 years experiences in Agrochemical Industry as R&D, QC, process development or application development is an asset.
• Able to make business trips within MEA.
• Experience in team management and administrative work.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English is a must.
• Good communication and leadership.
• Good knowledge about industrial chemistry and its manufacturing processes, patent, and regulatory affairs.
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Entrepreneurial thinking, team orientation.
